1936 Berlin Olympic Torch compared with 1972 Official replica Torch
Copy of the Berlin 1936 Olympic Torch made in 1972 by the Organising committee of the 1972 Munich Olympic games and given as a gift to high rank officials. On the photos below on the left images of the 1972 copy and on the right of the original 1936 Torch.
Differences:
1. On the replica there is a footage at the base that there is not on the Original.
2. The etched inscription and design on the replica is a bit more bold.
3. The inner surface of the top Tray of the replica is mat with concentric cycles compared with the shiny Original's.
4. Under the base of the Replica Torch there is a small knob that will easily help you to find out that it is not the Original one.
Αντίγραφο κατασκευασμένο το 1972 από την Οργανωτική Επιτροπή των Ολυμπιακών Αγώνων του Μονάχου για να δοθεί σαν δώρο σε υψηλόβαθμους προσκεκλημένους. Στις φωτογραφίες βλέπετε αριστερά το αντίγραφο και δεξιά την αυθεντική.
Διαφορές
1. Στην βάση του αντιγράφου υπάρχει μία ανύψωση περίπου 5mm που δεν υπάρχει στην αυθεντική.
2. Η εγχάραξη στο αντίγραφο είναι πιο έντονη.
3. Η εσωτερική επιφάνεια του δίσκου του αντιγράφου είναι πιο θαμπή και φέρει ομόκεντρους κύκλους σε αντίθεση με την λαμπερή επιφάνεια της αυθεντικής.
4 Κάτω από την βάση του αντιγράφου υπάρχει ένας μικρός "κόμπος" που εύκολα μπορεί να το ξεχωρίσει από την Αυθεντική.

Ένα μοναδικό ζευγάρι κηροπήγια Δώρο της Ελληνικής Ολυμπιακής Επιτροπής στους Γερμανούς επικεφαλής της Λαμπαδηδρομίας του 1936
A unique pair of 38 cm long candlesticks. They are Gif of the Greek Olympic Committee to the Germans during the 1936 torch relay. On the disks of the bases of both candlesticks is inscribed in French:
#BERLIN 1936 # COMITE OLYMPIQUE HELLENES 183 KM LAMIA BRALO DELPHI LEVADIA THIVES (# BERLIN 1936 # GREEK OLYMPIC COMMITTEE 183 KM LAMIA BRALO DELPHI LEVADIA THIVES This is a part of the Greek leg of the Torch Relay on the 3rd day of the Torch Relay and specifically on 22/07/1936 and follows the route of the old National Road Athens - Thessaloniki. This section is refered at the leaflet of the torch relay whose photos are on the right. It is very strange that is about only a part of the relay! The items are in poor condition but they are unique. They were found in an appartment in Berlin.

Στις βάσεις τους είναι χαραγμένο στα Γαλλικά: #BERLIN 1936 # COMITE OLYMPIQUE HELLENES 183 KM LAMIA BRALO DELPHI LEVADIA THIVES (# ΒΕΡΟΛΙΝΟ 1936 # ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΗ ΕΠΙΤΡΟΠΗ 183 ΧΛΜ. ΛΑΜΙΑ ΜΠΡΑΛΟ ΔΕΛΦΟΙ ΛΙΒΑΔΙΑ ΘΗΒΕΣ * Πρόκειται για τμήμα του Ελληνικού μέρους της Λαμπαδηδρομίας που διανύθηκε την 3η μέρα της Λαμπαδηδρομίας και συγκεκριμένα στις 22/7/1936 και ακολουθεί την διαδρομή της Παλαιάς Εθνικής Οδού Αθήνα Θεσσαλονίκη. Το τμήμα αυτό αναφέρεται αυτούσιο στο φιλάδιο της Λαμπαδηδρομίας φωτογραφίες του οποίου υπάρχουν δεξιά. Είναι πολύ παράξενο το ότι αναφέρει μόνο αυτό το τμήμα της διαδρομής της Λαμπαδηδρομίας! Βρέθηκαν σε ένα διαμέρισμα στο Βερολίνο, οι επιγραφές ιδιαίτερα είναι σε κακή κατάσταση αλλά είναι ΜΟΝΑΔΙΚΑ.
