After an exciting Paralympic Flame lightning ceremony of the Torino 2006 Paralympic Winter Games, a total of 126 torchbearers carried the Flame through the Piemont Region, from Verbania to Torino, including several accessible landmarks and and it reached an altitude of 3,080 meters on Monte Rosa.

Μετά από μια φαντασμαγορική τελετή αφής η Παραολυμπιακή Φλόγα μεταφέρθηκε από 126 λαμπαδηδρόμους διαμέσου της επαρχίας Piemond από την Verbania στο Torino περνώντας από πολλές περιοχές μεταξύ των οποίων το Monde Rosa σε ύψος 3.080 μέτρα.
